Do carpet spot removers work?

• About half of the carpet spot removers don't work.

• To find carpet spot removers that work, you will have to visit a carpet cleaning store. Unfortunately there aren't any stores in Oakville that sell carpet spot removers. There are a few in Hamilton, one is called The Cleaning House.

• Carpet shampoo will usually look like it removes the stain from the carpet, but carpet shampoo typically just covers up the stain.

Which Stains will never come out?

• There is no carpet stain remover that can remove a stain that is formed from a die, such as food die, food colour, carpet dye.

• Most animal urine will not be removed from carpets, you may disguise the smell, but the colour will stay.

• Engine or motor oil, will not come out, it may lighten up for a bit, but it is not gone.

• Any water or oil based paint will not come out of your carpet.
